From 1968 to 1989 lecturer of double bass at the Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler“ in Berlin; 1989 to 1990 member of the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra; 1991 professorship at the Conservatory of Music in Saarbrücken/Germany; 1992-2008 Professor of Double Bass at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Munich with a large, international class; editor (many first editions); member of international juries (ARD-Munich, Geneva, USA, Koussewitzky Competitions in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Avignon, Reimes, Isle of Man, Markneukirchen, Kromeriz, Czech Republic, Debrecen, Hungaria, the Simandl-competition, Mittenwald); recordings for broadcasting companies and CDs; director of master courses in Europe, the USA and Asia; honorary president of the International J.M. Sperger Society; founder und artistic director of the International J.M. Sperger Competition. Special Recognition Award for Scholarship from the International Society of Bassists. Founder and leader of the international double bass ensemble BASSIONA AMOROSA.
