ENRICO FAGONE

Enrico Fagone is professor at the Conservatory of Lugano and principal bass of the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana. He is invited to prestigious festivals worldwide, collaborating with M. Argerich, M. Maisky, V.Repin etc. He is Ambassador of the Martha Argerich Project, Artistic Director of the Bottesini Competition and Music Director of the Long Island Orchestra in New York. He is also invited as a conductor and soloist by orchestras such as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, RAI National Symphony Orchestra of Turin and the Hungarian State Symphony Orchestra. Mr Fagone holds master classes at The Juilliard School, Royal College of Music, Royal Danish Academy, Toho Gakuen of Tokyo and The Paris Conservatory CNSMDP. He graduated from the conservatory of Piacenza, completing his double bass studies with Franco Petracchi and Klaus Stoll. He studied conducting at the Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado and under Jorma Panula in Helsinki.
