Andreas Veit

A native of Westphalia, Andreas Veit was involved in diverse musical activities in his school and church community since early childhood. He studied double bass, music pedagogy and theology in Detmold, Paderborn, Göttingen and Heidelberg. Since 1994, he holds the position of head of the music department at the Gymnasium Athenaeum in Stade on the Elbe, while also active as a freelance bassist in various ensembles. He is a founder member of “Hansebass”, a network for double bass teachers in northern Germany.
